Guillem Font

Guillem Font is a Spanish mural artist. He works as an illustrator and co-director of the community art collective RutaGraphica.

My artistic vision is fueled by a confluence of popular culture, scientific illustration, science fiction, and the rich traditions of Spanish performing arts on public spaces. My style is strongly influenced by my fascination with the textures and organic forms of the diverse flora and fauna within our ecosystems. This fascination has led me to develop a unique visual language characterized by landscapes and fantastical creatures, often rendered in grayscale. Through this imagery, I aim to reflect on the disconnect between humanity and nature that pervades urban environments and the consequences of our negligence: a planet losing its vibrant tapestry. To deepen my connection with the local community and effectively communicate my messages, I immerse myself in the stories, legends, and folktales of the places I visit, particularly those with a connection to the region's flora and fauna.

Font has carried out mural projects in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Morocco, United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala and Colombia. As well as group and individual exhibitions in Spain, France, Italy and Mexico.
